Born in Hobart, Dr Michael Ayling graduated in Medicine from the University of Tasmania in 1997. Following residency, he served in the Australian Regular Army as a Medical Officer for five years and in the reserves until 2014, deploying to most operational theatres between 2001-2008. Dr Ayling undertook anaesthetic training at Liverpool Hospital, receiving his specialist fellowship at the end of 2008.
Dr Ayling now resides in Camden with his wife and three daughters and consults at Campbelltown Public and Private Hospitals and also in Bowral and District Hospital.
